Even with wonderful foster parents who lovingly give every effort to provide the best care for each child in their home, there is still a gap in resources that leave foster youth missing out on everyday childhood experiences. For too many foster youth, taking guitar lessons, joining a dance team or going to a summer camp with close friends is simply not an option. These experiences play a vital role in the development of our youth and, without them, foster youth miss out on opportunities of relationships, growth and hope.

The only way to fill this critical gap is with the support of our community. Generation Fate uses the Simple Heroes Initiative to connect foster youth’s unique and individual wishes with community members that have the means necessary to make these simple dreams come true.

…are a class of 3rd graders who collected money to help send Laura on an educational field trip of a life time where she explored the history of Philadelphia, New York, Boston and Washington D.C. with her best friends from school.

…are four women who helped Amanda buy a dress, shoes, get her hair and nails done and even made her jewelry so she could attend prom feeling like a princess.

…is Mike, a property manager, who donates his time to refurbish computers for foster youth so they can excel at school and, maybe, someday go to college.
